Surrounded by Elk State Forest, Sinnemahoning is on the First Fork of the Sinnemahoning Creek and has picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and deep valleys. There is an abundance of wildlife, including nesting bald eagles, elk, and many birds and butterflies.

Oops - wrong date 11/17 not 11/15 :)
Programs at Sinnemahoning are always a great mix of fun and education. The STEM program (11/15) was GREAT! Don't get me wrong...we LOVE the nature-focused ones but STEM was a great addition to the homeschool schedule. Looking forward to the rest of this school year's programs!
Learned about new flowers and tree species I couldn't identify before!
We attended Part 1. We were looking forward to attending Part 2 but the event was cancelled due to Governor Wolf. These events at the park are typically well attended. The park staff and program attendees are always attentive to social distancing and safe practices. My opinion, these events could be held safely, no need to cancel.
Very informative. Well prepared and professionally delivered presentation. The information we learned will improve our understanding of Elk behavior in the wild.
Very informative. This was the second time we attended. We learned something new each time. We really appreciate the effort that the DCNR staff and volunteers put into these events.
This event was fabulous!!! My kids all had a great time and learned a ton!! We will definitely be back for more!!!
