The Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) and the Presque Isle State Park complex house many agencies, organizations, partners, and volunteers that play a vital role in the conservation and preservation of our National Natural Landmark: Presque Isle State Park.
A new conservation exhibit has been opened to the public in The Tom Ridge Environmental Center, which pays homage to the many groups that play a role in the conservation and preservation of Presque Isle State Park. Featured within the exhibit are displays created by the following groups: The Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC) Foundation, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), PA Game Commission, PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), PA Department of Coastal Resources Management, Presque Isle Partnership, Presque Isle Audubon, and the Purple Martin Conservation Association. Each wall of the exhibit features plaques and pictures detailing past and ongoing projects that have occurred on the peninsula. Items such as bird houses and traps, samples of invasive species, historic maps, and pamphlets are also featured to enhance the learning experience. The exhibit is open daily from 8 AM until 4 PM and will be available for viewing until October 31, 2022. It is located on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center.
