Woodcock Walk

Timberdoodle. Bogsucker. Hokumpoke. Mudbat. The Labrador Twister. The American Woodcock is often found along slow moving rivers and streams, lakes, ponds, and other wetlands, as well as moist young forest and shrub land, of which Prince Gallitzin has many! These interesting birds have an incredibly unique mating call and dance that can be seen and heard right after sunset. Come along on an easy-to-moderate walk and try to see and hear their display in all of its glory.

Meet at the Headache Hill parking lot.
