Just because it’s cold and blustery outside doesn’t mean you can’t have fun - so join us at Lackawanna State Park for Winterfest 2026!

Try out snowshoes, tag along on a guided hike, or make a pinecone bird feeder. You can watch birds through binoculars, learn about outdoor winter safety, make a s'more over a fire, and more!

• Winter Discovery Hike @ 12:00 pm (Main Boat Launch)
• Ice Safety and Rescue Demonstration @ 1:00 pm (Main Boat Launch)
• Winter Tree ID Walk @ 1:30 pm (Meet at Smokey Bear near Warming Hut)
• Staying Found: Search and Rescue Ops @ 2:00 pm (Warming Hut)

Hot food/cocoa will be available through partner organizations for a donation.

*To visit the Sled Dog Team, you may walk across the frozen lake from the Day Use Area (~.25 mile walk) or park at Park Office and follow signs for a shorter walk (~.12 mile walk).
