Winter Walks and Talks: Life in the Cold
3000 State Route 18, Hookstown, PA 15050-1605
Stay in shape and enjoy the winter landscape with our series of 'Winter Walks and Talks". Held once a month over the winter, each program will cover a different winter theme and consist of a brief talk followed by a guided hike. The December 15 program "Life in the Cold" will discuss how humans and wildlife deal with winter extremes from a physiological and psycological perspective.
We will meet at the Roadside East Picnic Area along Raccoon Park Road. The hike will be over moderate terrain and follow sections of Heritage Trail. Participants should be properly dressed for a
2.5- hour hike and bring water and snacks.
For questions contact Patrick Adams at paadams@pa.gov or 724 899-3611.
