Women in the Wild-Winter Solstice Mindfulness Walk

675 Park Road, Downingtown, PA 19335-1898

Free Event

This Winter Solstice Stroll offers a unique and transformative experience for individuals seeking a deep connection with nature.

This guided walk takes participants on a journey through the enchanting winter forest, allowing them to immerse themselves in its tranquil beauty. The walk is designed to harness the energy of the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, and is designed to end just as the sun is setting.

Through a series of invitations and activities throughout the walk, participants can tap into their own innate healing abilities and find solace amidst the rejuvenating power of nature during this sacred time of year. We will incorporate various solstice traditions for participants to experience. Ages 15 and up.

Women in the Wild is a new monthly series of outdoor programs held at state parks throughout the Southeast. Each month of 2024 there will be an opportunity to get outdoors, learn a new skill, and have fun in a relaxed, friendly, and affirming environment. Are you drawn to the outdoors and interested in exploring new hobbies and wilderness skills, but you’re not enthusiastic about entering a hyper-masculine space to do so? This series is designed especially for you! Choose from activities like archery, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and birdwatching. Check out the event at your closest state park or follow Women in the Wild to a new park each month. We’re excited to spend the year with you trying new things!
