This is a self-guided hike.   Take a one-mile hike on the Lake Loop Trail to look for the items on the scavenger hunt list!  Bring a camera or phone to take pictures of your finds, then send four of your favorite pictures to blackmoshannonee@pa.gov or send a pm on the Black Moshannon State Park facebook page to receive a prize.  

The scavenger hunt list can be printed from this calendar of events or take a screen-shot of it on the Black Moshannon State Park facebook page.   It will also be available on the brochure rack at the park office.  The scavenger hunt lists will be available from December 22 to January 3. 

The Lake Loop Trail can be started at the parking lot for the Environmental Learning Center, or from the beach area by Pavilion #5. The trail is mostly flat with some roots across it.   It may be snow covered or icy.   Please wear proper footwear and dress for the weather.   

Please do this activity in small, immediate family groups. Wear masks and maintain social distancing when encountering other groups. Follow CDC and Pennsylvania guidelines for masking, sanitizing, etc. Out-of-state travel restrictions apply (link below). The Secretary of Health has issued an order requiring anyone who visits from another state to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 prior to entering the commonwealth. If someone cannot get a test or chooses not to, they must quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Pennsylvania.
