What trees are best for your backyard?  Join DCNR staff for a guided walk through the grassy areas adjoining the picnic grounds, visiting a variety of trees and using forestry techniques and tools. Branching, bark, last year’s leaves - all help budding tree detectives track down the clues. Dress for the weather, snow or shine (severe or dangerous weather automatically cancels event) and bring a drink or snack and a desire to learn. All ages welcome, family friendly.
