Experience the beauty of McConnells Mill with a walk in the lovely Hell’s Hollow valley. Despite the name, it is one of the most charming places to experience the wildflowers in the park. We may see spring beauties, hepatica, trout lilies, and more.oin park staff for a mile stroll on an easy trail starting at the Hell’s Hollow parking lot, an easy trail with some possibly slick rocks, optional staircase to view the waterfall at the end. We will explore the unique natural history of some of the spring wildflowers along Hell Run. Limited facilities. Dress for the weather, bring your own water, and wear sturdy footwear. 

Meet at the Hells Hollow parking lot on Shaffer Road, which is not the same as the map pin shown at right. Allow 15 minutes to get to Hells Hollow if coming from the old mill, through the covered bridge.
