Wilderness and Remote First Aid

MORE-Outdoor, licensed by the American Red Cross, will offer a two-day Wilderness & Remote First Aid (WRFA) course at Kings Gap.

WRFA instruction provides first aid principles and skills to respond to emergencies and give care in areas without immediate emergency medical services (EMS).  This includes remote wilderness and urban environments experiencing natural or manmade disasters.

WRFA is a hands-on, skills-based course that uses a mix of classroom instruction and outdoor teaching scenarios tailored to the training audience.  

Participants must possess a current Adult CPR/AED certification and be at least 16 years of age on or before the last scheduled course session. 

American Red Cross WRFA certification, valid for 2 years, is issued upon successful completion of the course. Course handbook and materials included in course fee.

Fee:
$220.00 ($200 for FOKG Members or DCNR Employees!)

(CPR/AED Certification offered two days before the course for additional $65)
