 ducators: Elementary/ Middle/High School \n\nMonday\, October 13\, 2025\, 
 9:00 am - 3:00 pm\n\n$20.00\n\nAct 48 Hours \n\nThis workshop will be held
  at Carbon County Environmental Education Center which is located just out
 side of Jim Thorpe. Housed in a converted 1920s dairy barn\, the center is
  located on 70 acres of woodland\, wetland\, and meadow within Mauch Chunk
  Lake Park. \n\nC.C.E.E.C. will be holding this workshop for formal and no
 n-formal educators. This workshop will cover activities on adaptation\, na
 tural history\, and conservation status of raptors. It will provide educat
 ors with a greater understanding of Pennsylvania’s raptors and the chall
 enges they face in today’s world.We will utilize Birds of Prey (Raptors)
  as a lens to integrateyour curriculum and connect them to the new PA STEE
 LS standards. \n\nA tour of the grounds will include seeing many species o
 f raptors as well as a live raptor presentation.  Dress for comfort for in
 doors and outdoor activities. It is recommended to wear good footwear. Bri
 ng a packed lunch and binoculars.  CCEEC is an outdoor education and wildl
