Our state mammal is one of the most adaptable animals in our state. In this program we'll dive into the deer family, including elk, and discuss biology, behavior, and conservation of cervids in PA. We'll also learn how to age deer in the field as well as by teeth, and how to score antlers. You may bring your own jawbones or antler sets in to score if you would like!
*Please pay attention to weather forecasts. If there is heavy snow or ice, programs may be cancelled. If you need special accommodations for any programs, or if you have any questions or concerns, please email mmarker@pa.gov ahead of the program.*
