Cub scouts in grades 4 and 5 are invited to join the park naturalist on a 3-mile walk to look for animal tracks and traces, identify plants and trees, and learn about the Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace principles. 

Program is designed to meet some but not all of the requirements for Webelos Walkabout and Outdoor Adventurer adventures.

Program is FREE.  Pre-registration required. 

All youth must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. All participants must be prepared by wearing sturdy shoes and appropriate clothes for the weather and by carrying a backpack with the Six Essentials. 

Open to all youth, grades 4-5. Younger and older siblings with parents are welcome to join along.  Scout membership is not required. 

Meet at Pavilion 1 in the 40 Maples Day Use Area.
