Walk with a Doc - Cook Forest State Park.  Join Dr. Michelle Warnckle on 2 easy, connected loop trails in Cook Forest, the Black Bear Trail and the accessible Paved Sensory Trail. The Black Bear Trail is a flat trail with a dirt surface and some roots, the Paved Sensory Trail is an asphalt surface with benches and a guide wire.

Easy 1 hour, 1.3 mile walk on a gravel trail, one accessible trail, one is not, no bathrooms on the trail.

Exact Location

​​​​​​​Parking lot at the beginning of the Paved Sensory Trail 41.353420, -79.217099. From the road to the Sawmill Center for the Arts in Cook Forest turn left at the sign for the Paved Sensory Trail, proceed up the hill past the water tower and find the trail head 1/4 mile further up the hill. We'll start with a hike on the nearly flat 1.1 mile Black Bear Trail, then finish with an even easier 0.2 mile loop on the Paved Sensory Trail.
