Erie – Presque Isle State park is offering a free Virtual Professional Development opportunity for formal and non-formal educators of students grades 4th– 12th. Educators will receive training on the curriculum Project WET – Water Education Today! Project WET features field tested activities focused on water education that can be utilized in classrooms, scout clubs, museums, zoos, parks and more! The curriculum guide offers objective, experimental, science-based water education that follows state standards. 2.5 Act 48 hours are available. Course includes a curriculum guide, 2.5 hours of virtual instruction, and 2 hours of self-guided work. This free Virtual Professional Development via Zoom is Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Online registration is required by March 5 at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/presque_isle_state_park.
