Presque Isle State Park is offering a Virtual Professional Development opportunity for formal and non-formal educators of children from Pre-K through Highschool. Educators will receive training in the curriculum PA Biodiversity (Windows on the Wild). PA Biodiversity features hands-on field tested activities based on Pennsylvania’s ecology that can be used in classrooms, scout clubs, parks and more! The curriculum follows current PA Education Standards. 4.5 Act 48 hours are available. The course includes a curriculum guide, 2.5 hours of virtual training and 2 hours of self-guided work. This virtual program will be conducted using Microsoft TEAMS on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. Please register by April 23 by visiting this link:
Once you have registered, you will receive a link via email to join the program. Arrangements will also be made to receive your curriculum guide in time to prepare for the program. This program may be altered or modified at discretion of Park Staff.
