Presque Isle State Park is offering a free virtual professional development opportunity for formal and non-formal educators of students in preschool to 3rd grade. Educators will receive training on the curriculum Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children ages 3-7.
Growing UP WILD is an award-winning early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them.
Two hours of Act 48 Hours are available. The course includes a curriculum guide and 2 hours of virtual instruction.
This free Virtual Professional Development will be delivered via Microsoft TEAMS on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Registration is required, limited to 30 participants, by August 21, 2021 at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/presque_isle_state_park. For more information contact Ray Bierbower at edbierbowe@pa.gov
