Virtual Lunchtime Lecture: Maple Sugaring

The sweetest time of the year is almost upon us! Mild days and cold, freezing nights mean that the sugar maple sap will be flowing! Join us for an online crash course on how to identify, tap, and process sap to make maple syrup.

We will also be having 2 in-person sessions for maple sugaring - one on Jan. 15th and one on Jan. 29th, both at the park office. There we will cover the same topics in-person and allow visitors to see the process. There is no registration for the in-person programs, but keep in mind that bad weather could cancel them.

The virtual program is done through Microsoft Teams. In order to recieve a link, you must click the green "register" button. It's free and will send a link automatically to your email. Try the link ahead of the program on your device to make sure it will open for you - we can't help you troubleshoot once the program has started! If you have questions, concerns, or need assistance, reach out to the park office at 717-567-9255 ahead of the program.
