Virtual Lunchtime Lecture: Bluebird Trails

Want to learn how to help bluebirds and other cavity nesting bird species? Join us to learn how to properly set up and manage bluebird boxes as well as learn tips and tricks to target certain species and exclude invasives. A wide variety of birds utilize natural cavities in trees, and they will use boxes as well. Wrens, swallows, ducks, and even owls will use nest boxes if made and placed properly. So help us help wildlife by learning how to place your own wildlife homes!

Later in the evening, we will have 2 separate Bluebird walks scheduled at 3pm and 5pm for those who would like to see our boxes in person. Please register for those as well as space is very limited. Masks and social distancing will be required for all walks and hikes.

This program will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. You do not need to download the app to join unless you are using a phone. You must register in order to get the program link. Once you register, please check the link to ensure it is compatible with your device. If you have any questions, reach out to mmarker@pa.gov or call us prior to the start of the program at 717-567-9255.
