Virtual Lunchtime Lecture: Amphibian Migration

Free Event

They're on the move. No, we're not talking about birds. Another group of animals are beginning their migration. On warm, rainy nights, the ground comes alive as thousands of frogs and salamanders emerge from the soil to find their vernal pools - important breeding grounds for a variety of fascinating species! In this program we will introduce the mole salamanders and forest frogs that emerge long before many other creatures awaken.

Every Monday and Wednesday join us for discussions on a wide variety of topics, from waterfowl to black bears, and from foraging to tapping maple trees. And if you have a topic to request, let us know! Our topic list will be updated monthly to keep you in the loop.

All programs are held via Microsoft Teams - there is no need to download the program, but it may help on portable devices. Please click on the link after obtaining it in your email to make sure it works ahead of the program and email us if you have any issues.

Register for individual programs by finding the individual program ad and clicking register or by using this ad and registering for each date. Please let us know prior to the program if any special accommodations are needed.

**Please note, there will be occassional Mondays or Wednesdays without programs. These will be listed. For questions, concerns, or accommodations, email mmarker@pa.gov or call us at 717-567-9255.
