Virtual Introduction to Composting

Learn how easy it is to turn table scraps and yard trimmings into “black gold” otherwise known as compost!  Join a Park Naturalists and learn how to compost in your own backyard with minimal materials.  This is an introductory class for those new to composting. We will explore the “dos” and “don’ts” of composting as well as different methods.

 After registering, you will be sent a link to join the program via Microsoft TEAMS the morning of June 20th.  This program is geared towards adults, but can also be a great way to introduce children to the skill of composting There is no fee.  Please register by June 19th.

Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff. If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
