Are you looking for FREE lessons and materials to creatively engage early childhood audiences (ages 3-7) in nearby nature and backyard watersheds? Join Stroud Water Research Center, Pennsylvania State Parks, and Millersville University on November 5, 2020 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time for a 2-hour virtual workshop in Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children!
We will remotely explore the award-winning Growing Up WILD (GUW) curriculum and learn how to lead Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) for little learners! Each participant will be mailed a FREE Growing Up WILD Activity Guide, which includes 27 field-tested, hands-on, nature-based activities with connections to art, reading, music, STEM, and so much more.
This online introductory workshop is designed for college students who are education, science, and/or natural resources majors seeking real-world experience in early childhood environmental education. Workshop is also open to homeschool providers, classroom teachers, and non-formal environmental educators. 2 hours Act 48 available for Pennsylvania Certified Teachers.
Registration is required due to limited Zoom seats and curriculum books. To receive a book prior to the live workshop, please register by Thursday, October 29; later registrations will be accepted if seats remain, but a GUW book is NOT guaranteed to arrive before the workshop.
