Join the Park Naturalist for a book chat about great environmental reads. We will be talking about Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer on December 16 at 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM.  This book explores the connections between botany and the traditional Indigenous uses of plants.  

This program is best for ages 12 and up. There is no charge. Registration limit is 50. You will be sent a Zoom link prior to the program to participate. All are welcome whether you have read the book or not. This program is made possible by the sponsorship of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center Foundation. Please register by December 14.

Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants is a 2013 nonfiction book by American professor Robin Wall Kimmerer and published by Milkweed. The book is about alternative forms of Indigenous knowledge outside of traditional scientific methodologies.
