Virtual: Beach Ecology
301 Peninsula Drive, Suite 1, Erie, PA 16505-2042
Visitors to Presque Isle beaches are often amazed at how great it is that we have this gem in our own backyards. But did you ever stop to consider how it got to be this way in the first place? To learn more about our beach ecosystem, what animals and plants live here, and how the environment evolves on our sandy shores, join a Naturalist virtually on Friday, February 4 from 1pm to 2pm. Register by clicking on the green "Register" button. Please register by February 2. ZOOM Links will be sent to all registrants the day before the program, thanks to our sponsor, the Tom Ridge Environmental Center Foundation. This program is appropriate for all ages. Program may be modified or cancelled at the discretion of park staff.
For more information, please contact the Presque Isle State Park office, located on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, at 814-833-7424. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 4 PM. If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit.
