Trees of the Revolution
225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville, PA 16051-2031
Join DCNR staff for an educational walk to explore trees that played a vital role in the formative days of our nation. Trees provided colonists with lumber, medicine, food, income, and more. Trees represented American independence and identity from the very early days of the revolution and continue to be a source of pride for us today. We will learn to identify several tree species, coming to understand the role that American forests played in the early days of our nation. Dress for the weather, bring your own water and snack, wear sturdy footwear. Meet beside the Five Points Group Tenting Area, Five Points Trail, North Shore, Moraine State Park
