The Wonders of Amphibian Migration

Have you been wondering about Salamanders in French Creek? Curious about the Spring Peeper calls you've been hearing at night? Join naturalist and long time “Herp Helper” Richard Bonnett at the Park Office and he will teach us more about the species we help protect.

Following Rich’s presentation, we will discuss the do’s and don’ts of being a volunteer on migration nights. Learn how to help Salamanders and other Amphibians cross the roads in the park to reach their spring breeding pools.

Although attending the program is not mandatory, new volunteers are highly encouraged to attend, All volunteers are asked to complete the online Conservation Volunteer application form linked below. If you filled this out in the past you don’t need to do so again. https://www.volunteers.dcnr.state.pa.us/VolunteerApplication.aspx.
