The Great Amphibian Migration Walk
10 Lower Pine Bottom Rd, Waterville, PA 17776
Warm and wet nights in spring are when amphibians like frogs and salamanders make their way to their breeding and egg laying areas like vernal pools, swamps, and other wet habitats. It’s a great opportunity to view species that only come out of the ground for a short time once a year. We will walk along roads with flashlights to observe different species on their way. This program does not have a set meeting date or time as it’s important to schedule when the weather is just right. You will be contacted in advance for time and meeting place. Registration required.
