Look through park telescopes at some of the key features of the night sky - planets, stars, and more. We'll be on the lookout various objects that are sparkly, red, white, and blue! Under the guidance of our volunteers and staff, embark on an amazing telescope tour of the night sky. We'll run the scopes, you'll enjoy the view! 

Telescopes available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the time listed. Availability is subject to staff/volunteer availability, weather conditions, and crowd size limitations. 

Note that the moon will be shining during the program, making it hard to see dim stars and the Milky Way. Moon sets around 1 AM, after the program has ended. 

🗺️Where: Use entrance here, park in the lot. Walk around the hill to the viewing field, the Night Sky Public Viewing Area.

💼Bring: Red-light flashlight, extra layers/blankets, and a folding/camp chair.

🚫Leave at home: Pets (only trained service animals allowed), alcohol, recreational drugs. 

We ask that park visitors please leave their pets at home. Dim lighting, large crowds and sensitive equipment do not create a pet-friendly environment.

All programs will be cancelled in the event of rain or thunder. Registration encouraged to receive weather updates, but isn't required to attend. Optional registration will open 45 days before the program and will close 2 days before the event.
