Teacher Workshop: Growing Up WILD
101 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940-1151
This will be held at Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT) in Huntingdon Valley, PA
Growing Up Wild Exploring Nature with Young Children is an early childhood education activity guide (ages 3-7) that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, it provides a foundation for developing positive impressions about nature while also building lifelong social and cognitive skills.
In this hands-on workshop, which includes outdoor activities, participants will be introduced to the curriculum, guided in its use, and shown the resources available through Growing Up WILD, Project WILD, PA Bureau of State Parks, and the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust to help you implement GUW with your students.
You will receive the award-winning Growing up WILD book at the end of the workshop. Fee: $15.00. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. ACT 48 Credits available upon request.
Workshop will be held at the BLBB Field Station at the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, 2955 Edge Hill Road. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006
