Teacher Workshop: Environmental Science & Career Education for Elementary Teachers

Get immersed in field sciences with DCNR's Park Naturalis and IU5 staff. This program is designed for elementary educatiors who teach science in grades K-4. We will meet at the Rotary Pavilion where participants will experience the outdoor elements of Presque Isle State Park through hands-on learning opportunities infused with Pennsylvania's Academic and Career and Education Work Standards. You will discover the diversity of careers in DCNR and the local environmental field and be poised to instill this knowledge into your classroom. Bring a packed lunch and water. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to spend the day outside. there is no fee. 5.25 ACT 48 credit hours are available. Registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/DCNR-IU5.
