Celebrate our nation's birthday with an ongoing hands on exhibit of fishing equipment, local fish identification, knot tying and casting geared towards families. Visitors are invited to stop by while hiking the adjacent Multi-Use Trail. Fishing licences are not required for anyone statewide on July 4th but this is designed a special instruction day for kids where parents can help. Bring your fishing gear and bait if you have or we will provide some to share as well. Registration not required. PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR OWN FISHING EQUIPMENT (RODS, LINE, HOOKS, BAIT). SUNGLASSES AND HATS ARE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED FOR SAFETY. LOCAL FISHING EXPERTS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO HELP NEW YOUTH ANGLERS PRACTICE THEIR SKILLS.
