Take Back the Woods: Battling Invasive Species

Celebrate Earth Day by helping to restore native habitats at Jennings. Invasive plants are a major factor in the decline of native plant species and also impact native animals. Come spend a spring day "weeding out" the invasives at the park. A hearty and delicious lunch, featuring some of these plants, will be provided. Each volunteer also will receive a native plant to take home for their own garden or backyard.

Participants must be age 12 or older, and be prepared to work outdoors, rain or shine. Space is limited. Registration for the program is required by April 14th.
