Survival Series: Map Reading Skills

Did you ever wonder what all the colors, symbols, and squiggly lines on a map really mean? Or maybe you knew once but have forgotten. One of the best ways to keep from being lost is to know how to read a map. Come discover the art of map reading in this hands-on activity designed for ages 8 and up. Please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and bring drinking water. Meet the park naturalist at Pickerel Pond.
