Join park staff for a leisurely paddle around Poe Lake to observe the lake as the sun sets, and hopefully catch some stellar colors! We’ll discuss the animals that thrive here this time of day, and just enjoy the paddle as we transition from day to night.

This program is designed for those who have some experience kayaking and/or have participated in kayaking programs before. Must be over 30 Lbs to participate.

Registration for this program is REQUIRED for both those who are borrowing a boat, and those who would like to join with their own equipment.

There is a limited amount of kayaks and equipment in various sizes for adults and kids available if you need to borrow, so reserve your spot early! For more information or to reserve your spot, please contact the park naturalist at korndorf@pa.gov or 814-349-2460. Please register ALL participants if you are registering as a group and report weight within these categories: 30-50 LB, 50-90 LB, OR Above 90 LB; and report age: either as 18+, or if below 18 please say the age so we can most appropriately size life jackets and kayaks.

If you have your own equipment, you are welcome to join as well! Please contact the park naturalist so we know to expect you and to receive our meeting location.
