Sunset Float
1150 Keystone Park Road, Derry, PA 15627-3679
One of the most understated attractions to Keystone State Park is the spectacular view of the sunset each night. And the best place to view it is from the lake.
Bring your kayak, paddleboard, or canoe for a sunset float. We'll set off at 8PM towards our sunset spot, looking for wildlife along the way. Many crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) animals call Keystone home including beavers and a multitude of bird species so it's a great time for wildlife watching.
All vessels must have a current launch permit which can be obtained from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's website or from the park office. Participants in state park programs are required to wear a US Coast Guard approved PFD for the duration of the program. It's also advisable to bring a light in the event that we are still on the water after dark.
This program is free, but registration is required so that we can keep a head count. Click the green 'register' button to the right to register.
