Sunday Morning Bird Walk

Join park naturalist and expert birder, Rob Bergstresser, on a leisurely bird identification walk around our Day Use Area, in search of migrating birds. Those famous wintering LBJs ("Little Brown Jobs"), better known as sparrows, are starting to arrive, and our resident sparrows are becoming more active in preparation for a long, cold winter! We will cover sparrow identification and calls, and look for other migrating birds that overwinter in the park. All ages and experience levels are invited! Participants are encouraged to bring their own field guide and binoculars, but a limited number of binoculars will be available for use.

We will be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) parking lot for this program.

Registration is REQUIRED, as group size is limited. Please register each individual attending, separately.

*Rain will cancel the program.
