CANCELED: Finding Your Way Through the Milky Way - with Binoculars!

Free Event

Rookie astronomers don’t need expensive equipment to begin viewing the wonders of the night sky.  Many people already have a great tool for observing deep space objects – a set of binoculars!

This program covers the basics of binocular usage before using this tool to dive deeper into the Milky Way. Participants will also learn how to navigate their way through the night sky using star charts before putting their new skills to use!  Targets for the night will include planets, stars, constellations, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies!

Binoculars will be available for visitors to use, but feel free to bring your own.

Pets, alcohol, and recreational drugs are prohibited.
