Spring Snow Hike

Get out and explore the natural world on an impromptu Spring Snow Hike! Whether you’re a novice hiker or an experienced trail-blazer, we’re all out here for the same reason - to explore the natural world and connect with nature. This is not a hike for the destination-seekers among us, it is meant to awaken our curiosity and nurture our connection to the natural world. Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them, so we can try to spot some of the songbirds who have started to flit around and welcome spring. The park will have limited pairs of binoculars for participants, which will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We will be walking on the paved bike path along the lake. The hike will begin promptly at 8:30 by the Marina Visitor Center. Please pre-register so that we can contact you in case of any scheduling changes and/or updates to the program.

To participate in all hikes, you must bring with you the following:

  • Extra water & snacks
  •  Personal medicine (including but not limited to a personal inhaler, epi-pen, insulin, etc.)
  • Additional layers (*VERY important this time of year!!)
  • Appropriate footwear - absolutely NO FLIP-FLOPS or open-toed shoes will be permitted
