Meet at Saw Mill Trailhead from 1:30-3:30pm for an Earth Day clean up hike. Calling all conservation volunteers!  Come join the Park Educator and celebrate Earth Day by giving back with an Earth Day Trail Clean up.  Come help us do litter pick up and/or possible trail maintenance hike.  Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, long sleeved shirts, work gloves, and bring along some water, and snacks.  Please register in advance.  For further information contact the park educator at RA-Nrspbeltenved@pa.gov or by calling the park office.

Directions:

From Beltzville State Park:

Turn left out Park main entrance.  Proceed past Army Corps of Engineers building & go approximately 1 mile.  Look for a Big Creek Grange sign on left.  Turn LEFT onto Grange Road.  At bottom of hill, turn left onto Old Mill Road.  You will pass 3 houses on left.  After last house, turn left into Sawmill Run Parking lot.

From 209N (from Lehighton):

Turn left onto Harrity Road, go over Bridge & turn right onto Pohopoco Drive to head towards Beltzville State Park.  Go approximately one mile.  As you come around a corner, you will see a horse barn on your right & a no outlet sign.  Turn right onto Old Mill Road.  Go straight on Old Mill Road (past the Big Creek Union Church) for 0.4 mile.  You will pass three houses on the left.  After the last house, turn left into Sawmill Run Trail Parking lot.
