Whipple Dam State Park will hold its annual Spring Clean-up Day from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Greenwood Furnace, Whipple Dam, and Penn-Roosevelt State Parks. Please call the Whipple Dam Store at 814-667-3778 or the Greenwood Furnace park office at 814-667-1800 to register by Wednesday, April 19. Volunteers should report to Pavilion 3 (across from the beach) for orientation and work assignments. 

            The annual clean-up day is an effort for residents and community service organizations to join together to get our local state parks ready for summer by raking leaves, spreading mulch, picking up trash and debris, clearing hiking trails, and other projects. Volunteers should bring their own work gloves. A free lunch will be provided afterwards courtesy of the Friends of Greenwood Furnace, Whipple Dam, and Penn-Roosevelt State Parks.
