Spring Tree Walk with a Forester

Enjoy a walk with hosts: Chris Fatzinger, Service Forester and Lisa Meadows, Park Educator for walk in forest and field. It will take 1.25 to 1.5 miles and will start at North Shore Pavilion. Please join Chris as he teaches the basics of native plants and invasive plant identification, wildlife habitat strategies, timber management, and forest ecology.  Please wear hiking shoes, long pants, and bring water. Bug spray is recommended.

Program is weather dependent. Please check the Yellow Creek Facebook Page for updates if there are weather concerns.  Driving Directions from Park Office 170 Route 259 Hwy, Penn Run, PA 15765. Turn left from park office on Rt 259 & go to stop sign. TURN LEFT ON Rt 422, GO 1.4 MILES AND TURN LEFT (AT 3C'S ICE CREAM) ON SOUTH HARMONY ROAD. GO 0.5 MILES AND TURN RIGHT AT STOP SIGN TO CONTINUE ON SOUTH HARMONY ROAD AND FOLLOW TO NORTH SHORE. DRIVE PAST BOAT LAUNCH IN LOOP AND COME TO NORTH SHORE PAVILION.
