Solar Eclipse Viewing

Solar Eclipse Viewing Join us on Monday, April 8, 2024 for a solar eclipse program at Locust Lake State Park pavilion near the camp store at 1 pm. The environmental educator will be available to answer any questions you may have about the eclipse. There will be some materials available to build your own pinhole projector for viewing. We will move to the field located next to the camp store at 1:30 pm to watch the eclipse which begins at 2 pm. Please bring along a blanket or chairs. Some solar glasses and viewers will be available for public use. Supplies are limited, so the first 70 people who pre-register will be guaranteed access to these items. The program is shine only and pets are welcome if they are leashed and get along with other pets and people. Register by calling Robin at 570-467-2506. The entire eclipse is supposed to last approximately 2.5 hours. You can come for part of it or the entire event.
