Smokey Bear turns 80 years old on August 9^th, 2024!

Join DCNR Bureau of Forestry staff to celebrate and meet Smokey on August 9^th, 2024 at the Darling Run access on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. We will be on-site from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Participants will have the opportunity to meet Smokey, tour one of our fire engines (if available), learn about fire safety and prevention through fun games and activities, all while celebrating 80 years of Smokey’s significant message. No registration is required. Show up any time between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to experience this opportunity.
