DESCRIPTION:Join park staff for this scientific exploration of the forest t
 old through an age appropriate story! \n\nIn this session for learners in 
 preschool and kindergarten and their adults\, we will explore the ecosyste
 m of Punches Run. \n\nTo get our minds ready to explore we will start the 
 session by reading “My River” by Shari Halpern. Thanks to a generous g
 rant from The Lawrence Foundation and Books in Homes\, USA\, children who 
 register will be able to take home a copy of the book at the end of the pr
 ogram. We hope that by reading the story again at home you can talk about 
 and reinforce some of the discoveries we make out in the forest.\n\nAfter 
 the reading\, we will hike down to the water of Punches Run and learn abou
 t the animals that call it home. Families will even have the opportunity t
 o look for the creatures that live in the water.\n\nBooks and spaces are l
