Join park staff for this scientific exploration of the forest told through an age appropriate story!

In this session for learners in preschool and kindergarten and their adults, we will explore the ecosystem of Punches Run. 

To get our minds ready to explore we will start the session by reading “My River” by Shari Halpern. Thanks to a generous grant from The Lawrence Foundation and Books in Homes, USA, children who register will be able to take home a copy of the book at the end of the program. We hope that by reading the story again at home you can talk about and reinforce some of the discoveries we make out in the forest.

After the reading, we will hike down to the water of Punches Run and learn about the animals that call it home. Families will even have the opportunity to look for the creatures that live in the water.
