Science & Stories (K-2nd grade Edition)

Join park staff for this scientific exploration of the forest told through an age appropriate story!

In this session for learners in K-2nd graders and their adults, we will explore the curious forest crustacean, the Pillbug!

To get our minds ready to explore we will start the session by reading "A Pillbug's Life". Thanks to a generous grant from The Lawrence Foundation and Books in Homes, USA, children who register will be able to take home a copy of the book at the end of the program. We hope that by reading the story again at home you can talk about and reinforce some of the discoveries we make out in the forest.

After our reading, we will go out into the forest to look for pillbugs as well as the other creatures we learned about in the story.

Books are limited, so please register your entire group by clicking the green button.
