Northern saw-whet owls are beginning their migration to southern locales and some will be stopping in our area for a well-earned break! Join park staff and volunteers as we hope to capture and band saw-whet owls at Cherry Springs on Saturday, October 18th at 6:00 PM in the new pavilion in the Night Sky Public Viewing Area (public side, north entrance off Route 44).  After dark, participants will receive a night sky tour as our volunteers monitor the net traps for birds.  Please bring chairs and dress warm with layers. Dogs are prohibited.
