The cool wet area around our stream is perfect salamander habitat. Meet at the Stage in the Shoaff's Mill Day Use Area for an evening salamander search! We'll start the program by talking about these unique amphibians and what distinguishes them from other inhabitants our park, followed by a hunt along the forest floor to locate these illusive creatures. A limited number of nets and containers will be provided, so feel free to bring your own if you have them.

All programs are subject to change due to weather or staffing shortages. Please check the DCNR Calendar of events or Facebook page for cancellations or changes to programs. Severe weather, such as snow, ice, storms, or heavy rains will cancel most programs. If you’d like, you can leave your number with us and we can notify you of changes.
