The cool wet area around Swatara’s creek is perfect salamander habitat! We’ll start the program by talking about these unique amphibians and what distinguishes them from other inhabitants in our park, followed by a ½ hike to the creek to hunt along the forest floor and rocks to locate these illusive creatures. A limited number of nets and containers will be provided, so feel free to bring your own if you have them. Please also wear shoes that you are okay with getting wet! Meet at Trout Run Trailhead (40.482859,-76.545844).
