How are rocks formed? What's a mineral? How do living things become fossils? We'll be answering these questions and more as we learn about the unique geology of Pennsylvania. After that, we'll take a short 1-mile hike to observe the Frankfort Mineral Springs, one of the park's most interesting geologic features.
